Two Rivers Coalition (TRC) is hosting a series of community paddles this summer to celebrate the opening of the Paw Paw River Water Trail. The Coloma paddle will be on Saturday August 18 (this is a make-up date for the paddle cancelled on July 21. Participants will launch from Hays Park in Watervliet and take out 3 river miles downstream at the access site in Coloma behind the Public Works building on North Street (1 block east of Wesco gas station).

Meet at Hays Park no later than 9:30 a.m. to unload boats and stage vehicles downstream at take-out. Paddle will start at 10:00 a.m. Wearing life jackets is required to be part of group paddle. After the paddle, we will meet up at a local business for lunch/refreshments. This segment of river is very scenic, considered relatively easy at normal water levels, and is suitable for paddlers with beginner level skills.

There are a limited number of loaner kayaks available from TRC free of charge. You must RSVP in advance to kevinhaight58@gmail.com , if you want to borrow a kayak. No RSVP is necessary if you are bringing your own boat to the paddle.
