9:30 AM to 12:00 PM

Two Rivers Coalition (TRC) is hosting a series of community paddles this summer to celebrate the opening of the Paw Paw River Water Trail. On Sunday July 29, we will paddle from Maple Lake Dam 3 miles downstream to CR 665 bridge. Participants will meet no later than 9:30 a.m. to unload boats at the Maple Lake Dam access on 51st Street. If all the parking spots on 51st Street are full, you can park at Sunset Park on Maple Lake and walk across the grassy field to the river access site below the dam. We will then stage some vehicles downstream at the CR 665 bridge take-out.
The paddle will start at approx 10:00 a.m. and it should be a 1 1/2 to 2 hour float to the take-out.

Pathway clearing of this segment is currently on-going but will DEFINITELY be completed before the paddle. At low water conditions, there may be an occasional sand bar/mud flat to haul across. Wearing a life jacket is REQUIRED to be part of the group paddle! After the paddle, we will try to meet up at a local business for lunch/refreshments.
TRC has a limited supply of loaner kayaks, paddles, and life jackets available to borrow free of charge. You must RSVP to kevinhaight58@gmail.com if you want to borrow a kayak. You do not need to RSVP for this event if you are bringing your own boat.
Hope to see you on the river!
