The City Boat Launch is located at 201 Marquette Drive, which is about 1,200 feet northeast of the Whittaker Street Bridge.  The bridge to Lake Michigan is an additional 2,000 feet, approximately.  There is a developed ramp into Galien River [$7.00 parking fee for MI residents and a $12.00 fee for non-MI residents], then 1/2 mile to Lake Michigan. Alternatively, park in the beach parking lot [$10.00 fee] and carry less than 50 yards to river bank, then 250 yards to lake. Galien River Marsh [and water trail] is upstream. Overnight parking available only at boat launch. There is Third Coast Surf Shop located in New Buffalo call 269-932-4575 x 2 for current hours and location or visit www.thirdcoastsurfshop.com. 

There is an entrance/launch fee of $7.00 at this location.

Parking Lot parking is available.

Public restrooms are available (Flush Toilet).

Developed boat access.

Length of access is less than 50 yards.

At beach south parking lot you can launch in carry in your boat 150 yards to the Galien River.

A nearby local outfitter provides just rentals.
