This 7.5-acre rustic park provides access to the lower end of the Muskegon River and Muskegon Lake.  The area was originally associated with Muskegon's early lumber industry as a log storage and processing area.  Richard's Park was later developed as part of the historic West Michigan Pike.  A historic monument provides visitors with information about the area's lumbering history.  Additional signage provides information about the fish and wildlife habitat restoration that has been completed to improve natural resources along the Muskegon River.
