A total of 482 acres and more than 2½ miles of easy trails make for excellent hiking and cross country skiing through the open fields and towering oaks and pines of these adjacent lands. Hunting is allowed on Colonial Point but

not on Chaboiganing.

From Petoskey, travel 14 miles north on US-31 and turn right on Brutus Rd. Travel 4 miles. Just past the intersection with Mundt Rd. look for the Chaboiganing entrance on right. Continue straight and take the next right and continue a few hundred yards to the Colonial Point entrance on your right.
