The park is located at the mouth of the Carp River heading west along the shoreline from Mackinaw City. It has over 800 acres of land more than a mile of shoreline on Lake Michigan. There are sandy beaches for swimming in Lake Michigan, a boardwalk, and fishing at the Carp River.
