Power Island is approximately 200 acres with over 3 miles of water frontage in West Grand Traverse Bay and over 5 miles of hiking trails. Power Island provides a natural area for residents and visitors to enjoy large picnic areas, sandy beaches.

The isthmus that connects Bassett Island provides primitive camping for users of Power Island that can be reserved during the summer months.
