State DNR maintained boat launch onto Galien River approximately 1 1/2 miles north of New Buffalo. Approximately 3 miles downstream to Lake Michigan. Galien River Marsh [and water trail] is downstream. A pit toilet is available.

Heading downstream from the access the river flows and winds slowly toward New Buffalo and Lake Michigan. The trip to New Buffalo takes approximately one hour each way. It the weather cooperates Lake Michigan is a thrill to be on after the river portion of the trip.

Parking Lot parking is available.

Public restrooms are available (Pit Toilet).

Developed boat access.

Length of access is less than 50 yards.

Put in a boat at the public access it is a typical concrete boat ramp. There is plenty of space on either side of the boat ramp with a soft bank that won't damage your boat. This is gateway to the Galien River Marsh Trail.

The sign for this site is in the water/on shore/bank (visible from water).

A nearby local outfitter provides just rentals.
