McGulpin Point access

McGulpin Point Historic Site & Lighthouse is located adjacent to The Headlands recreational park, both conveniently located just west of Mackinaw City.

Located at the end of Headlands Drive, the water access site features 336 feet of public access shoreline and is within a short walk uphill to the McGulpin Point Lighthouse. Restrooms are located at the lighthouse which is admission free (donations are appreciated). For more information on the lighthouse, visit: http://www.emmetcounty.org/mcgulpin/ 

The Headlands International Dark Sky Park is located a half-mile to the south and the Village of Mackinaw City is located two miles to the east.

Hours: Mid May through October 20- 10am-8pm daily, October 20 through November 3- 10am- 7pm. Closed after November 3
