Distance: 6 Miles

Access Sites:  05-01 & 05-04

Shoreline Land Use: Residential

Points of Interest: Community of Greenbush

Waypoints: 05-02 (Main Street Road End) & 05-03 (E. Springport Road End

Route:  HARRISVILLE STATE PARK TO STURGEON PT. STATE PARK

Distance: 5.5 Miles

Access Sites:  05-04 & 05-08

Shoreline Land Use:

Points of Interest: Harrisville, Harrisville State Park, & Sturgeon Point Lighthouse

Waypoints: 05-05, 05-06, 05-07

Hazards & Cautions: Boat traffic from marina

Comments: Camping at Harrisville State Park

 

Route:  STURGEON POINT LIGHTHOUSE TO BLACK RIVER

Distance: 9 Miles

Access Sites:  05-08 & 05-09

Shoreline Land Use: Low density residential and undeveloped lands

Points of Interest: Sturgeon Point Lighthouse, Marine City shipwreck, and pine and cedar forests along shoreline

Waypoints: There are two US Forest Service parcels along the shoreline. The parcels are not identified from the water.

Hazards & Cautions: There are shoals extending into the lake on the south side and north side of the Black River outlet

Comments: The Alcona Township Park at the mouth of the Black River has a picnic area, parking and boat launch. Day use only.
