Ford Field is a large park with a picnic shelter and public restrooms.  Paddlers can access the river through the pond and head upstream or downstream.  There are currently a few portages around logjams to reach the confluence with the Main Rouge but volunteers are working to open this.  Heavner Canoe Rental offers rentals on Saturdays and Sundays.
