DESCRIPTION:Paddle Antrim is excited to announce it will kick off the paddling season with Short&rsquo\;s Brewing Company. Elk Rapids Trail Alliance will join us to celebrate Elk Rapids&rsquo\; recent designation as a Pure Michigan Trail town.  https://www.paddleantrim.com/event/paddling-season-kickoff/ \nSchedule of Events:\nMeet at Elk Rapids Rotary Park Kayak Launch\n4:30-5:00 pm &ndash\; Drop boats and park &ndash\; there will be volunteers to help unload boats. \n5:00 pm &ndash\; Brief remarks from Elk Rapids Trail Alliance\, Short&rsquo\;s Brewing Company\, and Paddle Antrim prior to launching as a group at 5:15 pm.All paddlers must bring their own craft/boat (SUP\, kayak\, canoe\, etc.. )\, paddle and life jacket. As with all Paddle Antrim events\, life jackets must be property warn at all times. All ages are welcome but children under 18 must be accompanies by an adult on the water. 5:15 pm &ndash\; Launch as a group for a 1-hour slow paddle on the Elk River.\n6:15 pm &ndash\; Head to Short&rsquo\;s Pull Barn (211 Industrial Park Drive\, Elk Rapids\, MI 49629)Discount on beverages (all community paddle participants will get their first pint for $1)Live music Food trucks8:00 pm &ndash\; Event concludes\nThis event is free and no pre-registration is required.\nParking:\nParking at the boat launch is limited. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of time to drop-off your boat the Rotary Park boat launch off US -31 and then park your car at the parking lot by the Elk Rapids Chamber of Commerce.\nAll paddlers must complete a paddling event waiver prior to participation. \n
