Small road end that is not great for access but you can visit two little traverse conservancy preserves and the Crooked River Locks which are owned by the DNR but managed by Emmet County.

Available in Spring Available in Summer Available in Fall

On Road Shoulder parking is available.

Alternate boat access.

Length of access is less than 50 yards.

Sandy dirt entry to the River but almost no parking in the vicinity. Just up from the locks so you would still have to pass through them or run the very tiny rapids if the water is high enough.

A nearby local outfitter provides just rentals including transport of boat.
